A better understanding towards the mechanism of carbohydrate utilization in Labeo species can be developed by this method, which will helpful for better carbohydrate utilization. The carbohydrate metabolism will give insight to reduce the protein percentage of fish feed in labeo species, which reduce the cost of fish production/culture and subsequently will enable the fish farmer to have more profit through aquaculture.
